I never made the connection until now, but of course, it makes better sense than anything else. My dad took a beating from a couple of thugs in New York and was in a coma for 6 weeks with a swollen brain after a flight down some stairs, head first. He too was really skilled at evasive answers and "accomodation" around things he could no longer do, or remember, but eventually the damage was undenyable. We can't turn back time for our family members, but we can support research into brain injury as much as possible now. Thanks for breaking ground for us Cindy, -Stephanie<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-544924080300827163.post-27972723867957880332013-01-10T12:05:18.428-08:002013-01-10T12:05:18.428-08:00This is amazing stuff Cindy Lee. Knowledge, like the truth,...Outstanding, Cindy Lee. Knowledge, like the truth, can often be harsh, but it can also free your mind from the dark cloud it's under. And thank you, again, for sharing your story with us. Between your music and Paul's words, it's like you're our community artistic property. ~ AnthAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-544924080300827163.post-31154690314627465712012-11-19T07:31:05.938-08:002012-11-19T07:31:05.938-08:00This is fascinating and comforting to boot. And like Paul, he had a high IQ and managed to get by without diagnosis for a long time. He could scam anybody with thoughtful correct answers to questions....but we could see it even when doctors didn't. When my father had his brain surgery back in the 70's there was no talk about traumatic brain injury or how it might affect someone..or their family....now I look back at a lot of things with new eyes...and I wish my mother could have known some of this.the sandwich lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00881704107781311572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-544924080300827163.post-58746514597909625632012-11-18T16:21:42.278-08:002012-11-18T16:21:42.278-08:00thank you for being there and sticking with it.......thank you for being there and sticking with it..........Dr Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10163590240706535188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-544924080300827163.post-7422563526415543772012-11-17T22:02:03.670-08:002012-11-17T22:02:03.670-08:00Thanks Cindy. Thanks Cindy.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00838299949664097616noreply@blogger.com
